a note from the author
Written as allegory, the Molly Greenwood Adventures series paints a beautiful picture of what life is like in relationship with God.
I’ve written this series for two reasons:
Children need to hear that they are unconditionally loved and accepted just as they are, warts and all. Molly’s story demonstrates this love. (By the way, I’m not saying children have warts!)
So many adults (myself included), need to be reminded that their identity and worth is only found in relationship with God - as one of his children.
Whilst the reading level for the series is 7-10, the content of books one and two are appropriate for a 5-6 year old.
So if you’re the lucky one who gets to read bedtime stories, you’ll also be the lucky one to hear God’s message for you along the way.

You’ll notice a systematic progression of themes when you read the books in order from start to finish. These themes reflect the journey we take as children of God – from adoption and belonging, to becoming outwardly focused and caring for others.
Book #1
Theme: Invitation, Decision, Belonging & Forgiveness.
Summary: Young orphaned Molly is chosen to join the King’s royal family. This is her story of adoption and the need to belong.
Her resilience is tested and she is given the opportunity to learn forgiveness.
Book #2
Theme: Obedience, Forgiveness & Peer-Pressure.
Summary: Princess Molly is torn between obeying the King’s rules and protecting her best friend. When she decides to venture into the forbidden maze, she unwittingly places her three friends in danger. Molly learns that her disobedience may lead to mishaps, but will never separate her from the King’s love.
Book #3
Theme: Justice, Mission & Trust.
Summary: An evil enemy has stolen beautiful treasures from the kingdom. Only a brave princess can get them back. The King invites Molly to venture out on an undercover mission to stop the evil work of the Trickers and return stolen treasure to the people. Molly must rely on the King’s help at every turn in order to succeed.
Book #4
Theme: Using our talents to help others, overcoming fear and developing resilience.
Summary: Determined to help her sick friend Cook Henny, Princess Molly seizes a chance to win money in a talent quest for a special gift. Little does she know she’ll confront a relentless bully and deep-seated fears from her past. Molly will need to navigate these challenges with unyielding bravery, in order to help Cook Henny.
Prequel to Molly’s Spy Mission
Themes: Resilience, Bullying.
Summary: This full-length book is the story of eleven-year-old Ami. It serves as the prequel to Molly’s Spy Mission and explains how she became a “villain”. Although it’s not a tale about Molly, Ami shows us how to not give in to the pressure from bullies.
Prequel to Molly’s Big Decision
Theme: Everyone’s backstory is important.
Summary: This short story explains how Molly ended up in an orphanage with her best friend, Suzie. It is a bit sad, so please show discretion when reading to younger children.
passion & purpose
My passion is to provide an avenue for children to come to a deeper knowledge of God and his incredible love toward them. As they grow in their understanding of his love we will witness growth in their character as well. Children need to know that their life finds its true purpose and meaning when they relate to God as one of his children and serve others for his glory.
