FAQ

  • Ideally the program goes for two hours, fifteen minutes. This allows for a 15 minute break without compromising the teaching and workshop time.

  • A two-hour workshop costs $300.00. Additional fees are charged for longer workshops.

  • Children must be nine or over to attend. They need to be able to jot down notes, complete worksheets and understand the concepts.

    If a child is aged 13-15 they may attend, providing they understand that the workshop is aimed at the average 9-12 year-old.

  • No, all materials are supplied by the author/tutor.

  • The host needs to supply drinks and a snack appropriate for children. For example: jugs of water, juice poppers, pre-packed biscuits.

  • The host needs to provide a data projector and screen, whiteboard and two large tables, as well as ample tables and chairs for the children.

  • The maximum size for a workshop is 20. However, if you’re meeting space is small you may want to set your limit to 10. That is up to you.

  • A booking system and fee is highly recommended. Experience has shown that participants are more likely to turn up if they’ve paid a fee and have some ‘skin in the game’.

  • The host is responsible for all marketing. The author/tutor can supply information and images for marketing if that helps.

  • It is strongly recommended that the host ask parents/guardians to sign a “Permission to Publish” form when they arrive at the event with their child. The author/tutor will provide can provide this form if you don’t have one. Photos may be used for online marketing by both the host and the author.

  • No. However the host needs to provide a liaison person who is responsible for:

    • Communicating with the author prior to the event and afterwards.

    • Taking photos at the event (and be aware of who may not have photo permission).

    • Serving food at snack time.

    • Assisting the author with set-up and pack down if need be.
